Project Resources
ICA Foundation collaborative partners, donation recipients and project implementers will find helpful resources below including: materials for project training; information, education and communication (IEC) materials; and project documentation and reporting form to submit to the Foundation.
Information Materials
Patient Information Sheet
This information sheet is for LNG-IUS providers to give to clients during contraceptive counseling, before LNG-IUS insertion, and should be available for clients to take home and refer to throughout LNG-IUS use.
Provider Information
This information sheet is for LNG-IUS providers to reference for their own technical information and interest. The sheet includes scientific research results from LNG-IUS, effectiveness studies, detailed descriptions of side effects and counter-indications, as well as medical benefits and limitations of LNG-IUS use.
Training Tools
Some additional tools provided with the LNG-IUS product donation include LNG-IUS demos, small plastic uterus models and a CD-ROM training manual, to assist in LNG-IUS training provided to health practitioners. The training manual is also available in PDF format below.
For further information about training materials, or to request more, please contact the ICA Foundation secretariat.

Project Administration
Technical Progress Report Form
Donation receiving organizations are requested to complete a Technical Progress Report every 6 months to be submitted to the ICA Foundation Board. The Technical Progress Report Form provides an outline of all the requested information, including that to be presented in paragraph and in table format. Please complete the form and submit to the ICA Foundation secretariat on, at least, a semi-annual basis.
Case Study Guidelines
Case studies will be conducted on certain country projects, providing in-depth detail into the commodity procurement and distribution system, provider and client perceptions of LNG-IUS, and other activities of interest to the ICA Foundation and/or the receiving organization. The case study guidelines highlight specific methods and information to be included in the case study report. Discussion and arrangement with the ICA Foundation should be arranged before case study procedures begin.
