Within ICA Foundation’s network partnership with the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), PROFAMILIA, a Dominican Republic non-profit institution, received 500 LNG IUS. PROFAMILIA was founded in 1966 and contributes to the sexual and reproductive health needs and promotion of health rights of women, through advocacy, services, education and quality products.

PROFAMILIA has integrated LNG IUS into the contraceptive method mix operating in six outpatient clinics. These clinics mostly operate within communities of low socio-economical status and serve over 1500 people per day.
